Ruth Kiselewich
Ruth has nearly 25 years of experience advising and working with utilities. She spent eight years leading Baltimore Gas & Electric Company’s (BGE’s) demand side management (DSM) programs involving over one million customers. At BGE, Ruth developed policy and planned, designed, and successfully implemented energy efficiency programs for all customer segments. She led and enhanced residential demand response (DR) programs and residential smart meter-enabled, customer-facing initiatives involving dynamic pricing and behavioral programs. In her role, Ruth was responsible for marketing, reporting, and regulatory activities involving all DSM programs. She also led the electric retail supplier account management group, focusing on promoting deregulation and customer supply choice. Before deregulation in Maryland, Ruth negotiated supply contracts with large commercial and industrial customers.
Since joining us, Ruth has been primarily engaged with demand response (including behavioral and pricing DR) and its evolution to demand management and distributed energy resource management. She is an expert advisor, supporting numerous programs for utilities and partners such as device manufacturers and demand response management systems providers. She Has advised on diverse utility topics including state utility regulation, energy efficiency, and electric vehicles.
Before working in the utility industry, Ruth spent 13 years developing innovative products and services in the financial services industry. She also implemented and managed market research, marketing, advertising, sales, and public relations.
