Patrick Patterson
Patrick (master of social work, master of public health) is a fatherhood expert with over 20 years of experience leading national and statewide fatherhood programs and initiatives. He has served as the manager of the National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (www.fatherhood.gov) under three successive presidential administrations and has been nicknamed “Mr. Fatherhood” as a result of his decades of work in the field.
During his career, Patrick has served as a featured keynote, technical assistance provider, and trainer in 43 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, and six different countries. Patrick and his two daughters are coauthors of two popular children’s books, “I Love When Daddy Reads to Me'' and “Unplugged: A Day of Family Fun with No Devices.” Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target, Barnes and Noble, and Books a Million all carry and sell both volumes.
Patrick earned a bachelor of social work from Benedict College (Columbia, SC) and dual master’s degrees in social work and public health from the University of South Carolina.
