LuzMaria is a fisheries biologist with over a year of experience.
LuzMaria is a fisheries biologist with over a year of experience. She supports the Fish and Aquatic Science Team. LuzMaria initially began her professional career with us as an on-call biologist soon after graduating college.
LuzMaria is familiar with fishing survey techniques such as beach seining, backpack electrofishing, hoop netting, and mamou and kodiak trawling. She has experience in water collections, searching for nutrients, phytoplankton, and chlorophyll samples along with collecting mysid and zooplankton samples. She also has experience with mysid and amphipod taxonomy.
