Michele Stein
Michele leverages her deep knowledge of child development and federal regulations to help Head Start programs to improve the quality of services provided to vulnerable children and families. She is responsible for managing nine contracts with the Office of Head Start. She manages business processes, client engagement, and human capital for a group of more than 170 employees. This year she successfully re-competed the five existing contracts that we hold with the Office of Head Start and picked up one new contract as well. Since joining our team, she has also won two new Customer Support Contracts.
Michele began her career in consulting as a training and technical assistance provider to the Office of Head Start in New York City. She later became a content area expert in the field of Early Education for the same Training and Technical Assistance contract before landing a position as a Program Support Specialist for the Office of Head Start Customer Support contract. In this role, Michele helped complete federal monitoring reviews of Head Start programs, consulted with state agencies, and helped create a national Head Start Application Analysis tool.
Michele has taught children ranging in age from toddlers to tweens—in public, private, and charter schools—and she has experience managing, creating, and consulting with various educational agencies. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University, an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an M.P.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell.
